In the last few years, I’ve been working primarily with acrylics in the studio and watercolors when traveling or journaling. In late 2025, I started to work with oil paints again.

When I moved back to Portland in 2022, I moved near Portland’s Rose Garden in Washington Park. I found I really enjoyed painting roses as studies in topography and color.

In 2024, I started working on painting some ocean scenes I had photographed about a decade earlier at Cape Disappointment. Painting water, especially where it hits the coast, either sand or rocks, is something I’m very much enjoying.
