ARTWORK
In the last few years, I’ve been working primarily with acrylics in the studio and watercolors when traveling or journaling. In late 2025, I started to work with oil paints again.
When I moved back to Portland in 2022, I moved near Portland’s Rose Garden in Washington Park. I found I really enjoyed painting roses as studies in topography and color.
In 2024, I started working on painting some ocean scenes I had photographed about a decade earlier at Cape Disappointment. Painting water, especially where it hits the coast, either sand or rocks, is something I’m also very much enjoying.
In addition, I’ve recently been enjoying the art of making baskets.
